🥨PRETZEL CLUB | Friday, February 6th

  • If your student(s) is already signed-up, then no action is required. Teachers will distribute pretzels to their classes on Friday afternoon. 
  • If you haven't join yet, the ⏳SIGN-UP Deadline is TUESDAY, February 3rd

📣 Calling ALL 4th GRADERS 🎓

Freedom practice begins Tuesday, 1/6!
If your 4th grader would like to participate in the Freedom Tournament, they are encouraged to attend as many morning practices as possible.

What is Freedom?
Freedom is a dodgeball-style game played in front of the Cynwyd community as a fundraiser for a charity selected by the 4th grade class.
 
Who Can Play? ALL 4th grade students are invited and encouraged to participate!
 
When is the Tournament?
📅 Thursday, March 5, 2026
⏰ 5:30 PM – 8:00 PM 
📍 Bala Cynwyd Middle School Gym
 
🎉 ALL are welcome to attend and cheer on the 4th Grade Teams!
 
This is a free program; there is no cost to play!As always, good behavior and sportsmanship are required for continued participation.

🍏 Daily Lunch Helpers [2025-26]
The HSA is looking for volunteers to serve as lunchroom helpers. ⏰Kindergarten Lunch: 11:30AM - 11:55AM ⏰1st Grade Lunch: 12:00PM - 12:25PM ⏰2nd Grade Lunch: 1:00 PM to 1:25 PM ⏰3rd Grade Lunch: 12:30 PM to 12:55 PM ⏰4th Grade Lunch: 1:30 PM to 1:55 PM
🥨Pretzel Club / October - June (1st Friday of the Month)
The Cynwyd Pretzel Club is looking for volunteers to help us sort and distribute pretzels on the first Friday of each month (Second Friday in January and April). It should only take 30-45 minutes of your time. Any help is greatly appreciated! You are welcome to sign-up for one....a few....or ALL Fridays!
📚 Scholastic Book Fair
Please consider volunteering at the Cynwyd Elementary School Book Fair. Join the fun as books bring Cynwyd families together to share their love of reading! Please note that volunteers will need to have clearances on file with the school district. Click here for more information from the district on gaining clearances. We're looking for volunteers to help us: Set up the fair the afternoon of Friday, January 23rd Staff the registers and help kids find a book during class visits Staff the registers and provide assistance during our family shopping times: Sat 1/24/26 from 10am-12pm Thurs 1/29/26 from 5:30-7:30pm Break down the fair the afternoon of Friday, January 30th Note that the signups below go onto a second page!  🚨VOLUNTEER CLEARANCES
Lower Merion School District mandates ALL volunteers who enter the building and work directly with students are required to submit their clearances to the district prior to the event which you wish to volunteer for. Click Here for More Information on that Process. If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact the Office of School and Community Relations at 610-645-1977.
PLEASE NOTE: While this does take time, volunteer clearances are generally valid for 60 months (5 years) from the date of issue and must be renewed every five years.
